Lazaroo – Wednesday, January 12, 2011

Jan 12, 2011 I Lazaroo.

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with farsighted faith:

“Tell me, what can I do for you before I am taken from you?”
(2 Kings 2:9)

That’s what I need, Jesus –

a mentor
someone older who has walked this road ahead of me

a warrior who has made a ton of mistakes
and learned from them

a person not consumed by his own challenges
somebody willing to invest in my life.

But this is also who I long to be!

Holy Spirit, point out me to me that younger person
who is passionately eager to learn

who is willing to do whatever it takes
who is determined to soak up all the wisdom he or she can find

who is so desperate to grow and develop
that they’re willing to be taught

by the likes of me.

Then show me how to impart to them
what I’ve paid such a price to learn

so they can surpass me.

Mentors are truly a gift from the Lord. I praise him for all the men who have mentored me over the years. I pray that the Lord will bless those who have blessed me with the countless hours they have invested in my life. Now is the time for us to arise and pass on that which we have been entrusted with that lives can truly be changed.
