Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in solemn recognition:

“On that day I will punish all…who fill the temple of their gods with violence and deceit.”
(Zephaniah 1:9)

It’s bad enough when people who worship false gods fill their temples with that junk, Jesus…

although not unexpected.

False gods lead to false beliefs
which lead to false behavior

What is totally unexpected
absolutely detestable

is false god behaviors in Your house.

I hate it, despise it, cry out against it –

but it happens.

Why?

You stand for

love
joy
peace
patience
kindness
goodness
faithfulness
gentleness
self-control!

How dare we, Your chosen people, act in any other way?

Those of us who belong to You have crucified the sinful nature, with its passions and desires –

haven’t we?

But the moment I start getting upset at the unacceptable behavior I witness in Your Church

I need look no further than myself.

Help me be the Church…

I long to see.
