Lazaroo – Wednesday, January 26, 2011

Jan 26, 2011 I Lazaroo.

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with explosive feeling:

“O LORD, how many are my foes! How many rise up against me! Many are saying of me, ’God will not deliver him.’ But you are a shield around me, O LORD; you bestow glory on me and lift up my head.”
(Psalms 3:1-3)

It doesn’t matter what the rest of the world thinks about me, Jesus.
It doesn’t matter what size box my family or friends have placed me in.

You get the last word.

You determine how far I go

what heights I scale
the exploits I achieve.

Nobody else.

Not even me.

They think they can predict my future
by pointing at my past.

They can’t.

They think they know me.

They don’t.

They forget:

You are in me.

They look at my circumstances

set their expectations
decide my limitations.

I look to You

to blow their expectations to smithereens.

Shock them, LORD!

Shock me.

Pastor, thank you so much for hearing from God yet again. Your writing has become a source of daily encouragement to me. God has just been talking to me about the subject of His grace and that He gives it freely, no matter what others think or even what I think of myself. Sometimes it is most difficult for me to forgive and accept His forgiveness for myself. When others stand around to judge and condemn me, I believe and even agree with them! I guess that He is making it clear that I am not to do that any longer 😉 Thanks again for being faithful in what He has called you to do.

    Sincerely,
    Keesha
