Lazaroo – Wednesday, January 5, 2011
Jan 05, 2011 I Lazaroo.
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with clear-headed faith:
“[God] has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us. On him we have set our hope that he will continue to deliver us.”
(2 Corinthians 1:10)
Why do I have such a hard time with this, Jesus?
You’ve come through for me in the past
not once
not twice
You’ve showed up strong for me
over and over
over and over
over and over again.
You don’t change. You’re the same
yesterday
today
forever.
You’re not forgetful.
You don’t get tired.
You don’t have bad days.
You’re not wishy-washy.
You’re not up-again/down-again/on-again/off-again.
You’ve got a perfect track record:
The sun always rises
The moon goes through every one of its phases
every time.
The tide goes out…
but it always comes back in.
So why do I have the slightest doubt that You’re going to deliver me
this time?

Help me overcome my own unbelief. Man that has been God’s mantra to me this year past and this year present.
