All my choices have children, don’t they, Jesus?

Everything I think, say, do
has a consequence.

Before I choose the path I will walk

I’d better peer down the road
to see what kind of children play there.

Before I choose a spouse, business partner, friend

I might want to project ahead
see if I can guess the kind of children that will result.

Some children are great, giving their parents much joy.
Others bring such heartache that life feels not worth living.

Which kind will be mine?

That depends
on my choices.
