Lazaroo – Wednesday, March 9, 2011
Mar 09, 2011 I Lazaroo.
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with unwavering trust in Your God:
“Neither did Zebulun drive out the Canaanites living in Kitron or Nahalol, who remained among them; but they did subject them to forced labor.”
(Judges 1:30)
I don’t like living with Plan B, Jesus.
It’s hard to get motivated about working on second-best.
It’s much more exciting to think I’m pursuing the ultimate
for Your kingdom
for the people I love
for me.
But the truth is
I’m so flawed
so broken
so subject to error
so pockmarked by inconsistency
that I’ve had to live with Plan B all my life.
Don’t even get me started on Plans C, D and E.
But having said that
I can’t deny there’s something ennobling
about giving my all for You
in this hole I’ve dug for myself.
Still…
I don’t like living with Plan B.
Except…
wouldn’t it be just like You if Plan B…
turned out to be Plan A?
