Lazaroo – Wednesday, May 4, 2011

May 04, 2011 I Lazaroo.

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in grateful wonder:

“God heard their groaning…”
(Exodus 2:24)

You hear me?!!!

You’ve got far more important things to do, Jesus –
far more important people calling out to You.

Bigger fish to fry.

They’re whales!
When they slap their tails on the water
I understand why You’d pay attention.

But I’m just a guppy.

I couldn’t make a big splash if I tried.
Why would You bother with a mere fingerling like me?

(Okay, LORD, so a whale is a mammal – not a fish.  You know the point I’m trying to make!)

But as if that weren’t enough, there’s this:

It would be amazing to know You hear me when I praise You.

But You hear my groaning!

Nobody else wants to hear me when I whine.

Sometimes they do hear
and pretend they don’t.

But You not only hear my groaning

You have the power to do something about it.

Amazing isn’t it .. that HE does care for the “mere fingerling” … intimately, passionately with a compassion so real that it is impossible to put our minds around .. but someday we will understand His love for us and will truly Love Him as He should be loved .. there will be no sin barrier to diffuse that love … how wonderful that there will be nothing .. nothing that will take our eyes away from HIS Glory.
