Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with pedal-to-the-metal commitment:

“…he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may…escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.”
(2 Peter 1:4)

I long to make good on that escape, Jesus!

I’m weary of slogging through the knee-deep corruption of this world – caused by those who

soil purity
mock virtue
scorn morality
compromise integrity.

It’s taking its toll on me.

In fact, I’m part of the problem – more than I want to admit.

I’m sick to death of losing my own battle to evil desires!

Each day I vow will be different

and some days it is.

But on far too many days I have

declined to exercise my authority in You
and caved in to Satan’s temptation.

Please forgive me.

Those great and precious promises of Yours are filled with power.

The past is not my future!

I will prevail.
