Lazaroo – Wednesday, September 14, 2011
Sep 14, 2011 I Lazaroo.
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with pedal-to-the-metal commitment:
“What do you want with us, Jesus of Nazareth?”
(Mark 1:24)
Okay.
So the guy who asked You this question had an evil spirit.
Even so, it’s a great question:
What do You want with me, Jesus?
In fact, that’s not just a great question…
that’s the ultimate question.
Clearly, You’ve put me here for a purpose.
You do nothing by accident.
You waste no motion.
The very fact that I exist –
taking up space on this planet
leaving my oversized ecological footprint –
is irrefutable proof that You’ve got a plan for me
a job to do
an assignment to carry out.
To miss it would be to erase my life’s meaning
to reduce me to an object lesson –
a stark example of how to squander a life.
I don’t know how many people do that, Father…
but with Your help
I’m not going to be one of them.

Oh but I know what you wanted of me Lord God .. I can look over my shoulder and see where you used me and moved me and I can see now much of what your intent had been .. but looking ahead is much more difficult .. I’m older .. what can I do now Lord? What more use can you have for me … well what ever it is .. I know you will lead me and keep me where you want me so I can be utilized to bring you glory .. and Lord I am grateful & humbled to be used … and then Almighty God … I will get to come home and be eternally with You !
