Lazaroo – Wednesday, September 25, 2013

Sep 25, 2013 I Lazaroo.

Hold steady, as you pray aloud the words of this Lazaroo:

“…their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened.”
(Romans 1:21)

So if I understand this verse right, Jesus…

once upon a time they had it
then they lost it.

There was a day when these people could

think straight
see straight.

But because they rejected what they full well knew about You

refused to honor You
refused to thank You for all You had done for them

the God-given glow in their minds and hearts

went dark.
Lights out.

I couldn’t bear for that to happen to me, LORD!

May my every

thought
word
action

honor You.

I can pretend that this prayer, was just one more daily devotion. But this is exactly what I’m going throught. The worst part of all is that I know it, and refused to do something about it. My home is a mess, my older daughter is going the wrong way, my wife and I are getting exauhsted with the sleepless nights due to our twins, and yet our two boys, feel as if they are second to none, due to our focus on our everyday life. Money has never been any tighter, I even started to donate plasma just to have money for gas. And yet, I refused to give it all to God. I’m I a masochist?
