In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”

(John 1:1)

Oh, Jesus. How do I begin to respond to such Majesty?

If you treated me as I deserve, You would have nothing to do with me. You would leave me twisting helplessly in the wind.

Instead, You reveal to me – to ME! – these marvelous, mysterious truths about Yourself because You want me to know You.

     Deeply.

In this single verse You reveal Yourself as the Living Word who saves me…as the great I AM who has always existed…as the mysterious “Us” in Genesis, in whose image I have been made…as the 1 and only God Who is King of kings and LORD of lords.

And You…want to be MY…best Friend?

O my God. O my GOD!

     I…accept.

  1. Jeff Allbright Says:

As I stare into the heavens at night and see the shining stars that no man can count, I come to realize that in the grand scheme of that which Christ has created I am no more than the dust of the earth. I am a sinner by nature and that there is no good in me except the Holy Spirit that dwells within me. I’m reminded of the scripture that says “what is man that you are mindful of him”. To understand that Christ wants an intimate daily relationship with me truly humbles me. He truly is Majestic! What a powerful picture that is painted in Rev.19:16. This is the Christ that wants to be my Friend?
