“For [God] chose us in [Jesus] before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight.
(Ephesians 1:4)

O Jesus.

You chose me!

A very long time ago.

Before I put my trust in You.

Before I was born and had done anything good or bad.

Before the earth existed.

Why?

It couldn’t be because I’m better than those You haven’t chosen!

The very fact that such a thought could enter my mind is proof of that.

Something tells me I may have to wait till heaven to learn why – out of the 107 billion people who’ve ever drawn a breath on this planet – you picked me.

But I don’t have to guess about the “other” why, do I?

You chose me to be “holy and blameless” in Your sight.

Wow.

Sounds like somebody’s got a lot of work to do.

It is amazing. Is it that if you can ask the question, it applies to you? I am not being facetious here. Just pondering . . .
