Lazaroo – Wednesday, May 20, 2009

“She heard…that the LORD had come to the aid of his people.”
(Ruth 1:6)

I’ve heard reports like that all my life, Jesus.

Again and again I’ve heard stories about the prayers You’ve answered and the miracles You’ve performed.

Some of them I’ve wondered about.

Others seem solid – backed up by people whose words carry the weight of truth.

It’s great to hear such stories about Your love, mercy and might.

But I confess that sometimes I’m jealous.

Why haven’t You come to my aid?

Okay, that’s not fair.  You have come to my aid.

But not always.

At least…not in the way I hoped You would.

Don’t let me turn my dashed expectations into a grudge against You!

Instead, may every story I hear remind me that whenever Your intervention is truly needed…

You always come to my aid.

I think, I didn’t explain my point clearly, or I might confused some people about my opinion.
As you all know I’m human, so I do understand that we need to be true and honest to ourselves, but as humans sometimes we are not, and when we talk to God, we should be true and honest also.
What I’m trying to say is that, the phrase, “I’m only human, and becuase I’m human I can’t make all these mistakes” is turning more into an convenient excuse more then into a reality.
There is a time in our life, when AS HUMANS we know right from wrong. We know in what we believe, so you either believe or don’t believe, yes AS HUMANS we have doubts, but doubs is a state of mind.
It amazes me how much people ask from God, and we get mad at him becuase he does not give us what we ask for. God does not give us what we want, he gives us what we need.
I understand completely what you guys are saying. But being a human is not an excuse to do and say whatever we feel like. If a dog can bark in praise to God, it a cat can meow in praise to God, then humans can also praise God, and if we do it with fear, Isn’t fear a sing of obidience? If you read this pray, do you see any fear on it.
