Lazaroo – Friday, May 29, 2009

1 comment, May 29, 2009

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in hallowed awe:

“Peace to you from God our Father.”
(Colossians 1:2)

Father, I can’t thank You enough for the peace You bought for me at such a terrible price – the death of Your only Son on the cross!

But I have a distressing confession to make, Jesus.

I’m not enjoying Your peace.

Not like I should.

I know Your peace is in me, because You are in me.

But when I need it most, there are times when for the life of me, I can’t access it!

It’s like having a great treasure locked in a safe inside my home – which does me absolutely no good because I can’t find the key.

It’s because I’m fixing my eyes on the size of my problem instead of the size of my God, isn’t it?

I’ll never find the key in my problem, will I?

The key to my peace…

     … is in You.

I think this has been my most consistant failing. However, I am learning that finding that place (consistantly) is a process. . . and THAT gives me peace.
