Lazaroo – Thursday, June 9, 2011

Take sober warning as you pray aloud the words of this Lazaroo:

“Since they hated knowledge and did not choose to fear the LORD, since they would not accept my advice and spurned my rebuke, they will eat the fruit of their ways and be filled with the fruit of their schemes.”
(Proverbs 1:29-31)

You are so good to me, Jesus!

so patient with my shortcomings.

I’m baffled by how many chances You keep giving me
to get it right.

And Your forgiveness?!!!

Off the charts.

I can just hear some of my most dedicated enemies protesting:

“How many times are You going to forgive this perpetrator?
I know You’re merciful, God…but this is just ridiculous!”

I couldn’t blame a soul for being furious

over the amount of grace You’ve dished out to me.

But this passage in Proverbs issues clear warning:

the moment the sincerity of my heart toward You changes

I will be facing consequences I cannot avoid.
