Lazaroo – Wednesday, June 24, 2009

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with wholehearted devotion:
“It gave me great joy to have some brothers come and tell about your faithfulness to the truth and how you continue to walk in the truth.”
(3 John 1:3)
I’d like to be that mature, Jesus.
I’d like to have my priorities that straight.
I’d like to be a person who experiences great joy because I hear that a handful of Christians I once knew are continuing to walk in Your truth.
All too often, my jolts of joy are sparked by other things.
Lesser things.
Raise my sights!
Perform such a work of transformation in me that I –
want what You want
feel what You feel
hate what You hate
love what You love
Grow me up in You until the day I experience a rush of pure joy when I hear that even 1 person
is walking this same way in You.

It blesses me to know that Jesus wants us to share His heart and see with His eyes. I pray that we all can embrace this.
