(Isaiah 1:2)
I’m tempted to blame my shortcomings on the people who reared and influenced me during my childhood, Jesus.
But it was You who put those people in my life.
You selected my parents, grandparents and family members, along with all my friends, acquaintances, neighbors, classmates and school teachers.
No, You’re not responsible for their errors in judgment nor the wrongs they committed. But You sure knew in advance exactly what they were going to do – and You put me with them anyway.
Why?
Could it be that You knew I needed every one of those experiences – good, bad, happy and painful –
To cause me to seek You, reach out to You…and find You?

I believe God uses bad choices for the good (Joseph of Genesis type of thing). There is really nothing or no one to blame. It is what it is and it can be exciting to see just what God does with it.
