(Colossians 1:2)
If I had been a member of this church when Paul wrote to them, would they have shown his letter to me? Do others see me as holy and faithful?
Far more importantly: Do You?
I long to be holy and faithful in Your eyes, LORD. Not perfect. As a human being, I could never be that.
But as You look into my soul, I want You to see a person who loves You too much to deliberately displease You.
As You watch my every move, I want You to see a person who never takes a day off from living for You.
I am so far short of that!
But look deep into me and see, Jesus:
That is my goal.

It is too much to dare believe for me that God will say, “Well done,” when my days here on Earth are finished. I am so grateful, though, that despite that – I can always expect to hear Him say “I love you.”
