This isn’t exactly the party line these days, Jesus.

Most of Your spokespeople would far rather emphasize Your love, mercy and forgiveness while soft-pedaling Your wrath.

If they mention it at all.

But I have absolutely no interest in what is politically correct. 

I want to know You as You really are.

It’s extremely helpful to see that You unleash Your powerful anger against all who oppose you. 

That frees me to concentrate on loving my enemies and praying for those who mistreat me. 

Why should I waste time trying to get even with those who have wronged me?  Something tells me that if they truly need to be punished…

You’ll do a far better job than I ever could.
