Lazaroo – Monday, March 16, 2009

“Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.”
(2 Corinthians 1:2)

I accept the offer of Your grace, Jesus.  Thank You for treating me better than I deserve!

I love that when I confess and forsake my sins, You permanently delete them from my record – and Your own memory.  That’s outrageous, LORD!  No one but You could do such a thing.

You have every right to hold my sins against me.  But You don’t!

Instead, You forgive me.

You do that so we can do this – share our time together in pure joy, with absolutely no barrier between us.

O God, it’s true: You really do love me!

Knowing that…having Your Word on it, meditating on it, truly believing it…

…gives me deep, deep peace.

What arrogance we have sometimes, when we speak of “fairness” to God.
