Lazaroo – Tuesday, March 17, 2009

“But to Hannah he gave a double portion because he loved her.”
(1 Samuel 1:5)

I know You love me, LORD – far more than that husband loved his wife.

You proved it when You gave Your only Son to die on the cross for me.  You’ve proved it countless times since.

Knowing that helps me dare to ask:  Will You give me a double portion?

Of what, I’m not sure.  I don’t know that I trust my judgment on something like this.  But You know me better than I know myself.

You decide.

I hope I’m not asking this because I’m greedy.  If it’s not best for me, I don’t want it.

But if You just want to, Jesus – and know I’d enjoy it – what a thrill it would be to experience such a lavish expression of Your love!

I am thankful that because of Jesus, we can not only consider God the Almighty, but also as Daddy (Abba). Praise Him!
