The ten Northern Tribes are dispersed – called the ten lost tribes. The Assyrians took many captive but left a few behind. These intermarried with the Assyrians. They were called Samaritans.

606 BC The Babylonians led by Nebuchadnezzar invade Judah and take the young men back to Babylon – Daniel

The Temple is rebuilt

Ezekiel had prophesied that Israel would be in exile for 430 years. After the 70 year warning, that left 360 years – Ezekiel 4

The 360 years is multiplied by seven –Leviticus 26:18; Daniel 3:19
360 x 7 = 2,520 years…Israel was out of her homeland for exactly that amount of time.
The 2,520 years ended on May 14, 1948… making it exactly 2,520 years of exile.

From the issuing of the decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem (that decree given by Cyrus) until the Messiah would come, Daniel 9 prophesies that it would be 69 x 7 years. This is 173,880 days, taking us to the day Jesus rode into Jerusalem – we call it Palm Sunday.
