Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in grateful trust:

“The descendants of Hobaiah, Hakkoz and Barzillai…searched for their family records, but they could not find them and so were excluded from the priesthood as unclean. The governor ordered them not to eat any of the most sacred food until there was a priest ministering with the Urim and Thummim.”
(Ezra 2:61-63)

That method of getting answers from You is extremely attractive, Jesus.

1. Find an authorized priest.
2. Ask him my question.
3. He consults the Urim and Thummim and gives me my answer.
4. Dilemma settled.
5. I can rest assured: I’ve heard from You.

But no such priest exists today! Instead, You draw me into a deeper, far more intimate way of determining Your will:

1. Give myself utterly to You.
2. Reject the sinful advice of this world.
3. Renew my mind through Your Word.
4. Trust Your indwelling Holy Spirit to lead me.
