Lazaroo – Saturday, August 25, 2012
Aug 25, 2012 I Lazaroo.
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with lavish love:
“The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness…”
(Romans 1:18)
I’ve got a choice, don’t I, Jesus?
When Satan tempts me to do wrong
when my body demands something
that Your Spirit within me identifies as sin
I can either pay attention to the purity of Your clear direction and obey You
or I can cave in to my flesh, hell and the devil.
Ironically, in that moment
it’s not about self-discipline.
It has nothing to do with the strength of my will.
It’s not even about self-denial.
You designed me to listen to my body.
With You living in me
I have all the self-discipline
and strength of will
I could ever need.
Denying an urge
in order to please You
merely increases my reward.
Ultimately, it’s about just one thing:
love.
