Lazaroo – Friday, September 7, 2012
Sep 07, 2012 I Lazaroo.
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, from the depths of your soul:
“They…took one hundred thousand people captive…”
(1 Chronicles 5:21)
At first glance…
that sounds like a lot of captives, Jesus.
But compared to the number of people in Satan’s clutches
it’s nothing.
We’re talking billions.
Of course, I could simply shake my head in sorrow.
Walk away.
Leave it at that.
But that’s not exactly a legitimate option for me, is it?
Not if I belong to You.
You’ve called me to rescue those in captivity!
What a high and holy calling.
No other assignment can touch it.
But how?
As best I can tell, I’m supposed to follow Your example:
You left the security of heaven
entered the danger and chaos of our world
gave it everything You had to show us the way out
then sacrificed Your life for our freedom.
How can I do less?
Easy.
I’m doing it now.
