Lazaroo – Wednesday, April 4, 2012
Apr 04, 2012 I Lazaroo.
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in speechless gratitude:
“In the middle of the garden…the tree of life…”
(Genesis 2:9)
There it was, Jesus, in the middle of the Garden of Eden…
the tree of life.
If Adam and Eve had eaten its fruit instead of the other tree
they would have lived forever.
Instead, they bought Satan’s lie and chose the forbidden tree – the one that taught them not only about good…
but about evil.
Heartbroken, You blocked their way to the tree of life…
but not forever.
Through Solomon, You gave us hope:
Wisdom is a tree of life – though not the tree of life.
So are righteous people who win souls
longings fulfilled
the truthful tongue that brings healing.
But then one greater than Solomon arrived:
You.
And suddenly – by faith in You alone –
we’ve been granted access back into the Garden
given a second chance to eat the fruit
of the tree of life.
