Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, knowing you are safe in the arms of Almighty God:

“Esther had not revealed her nationality and family background…”
(Esther 2:10)

Sometimes it has to be that way, Jesus.

You created us to be

open
honest
self-disclosing
trusting
transparent
free

with one another.

But sinful people take advantage of those characteristics, don’t they?

They’re like wolves.
I’m one of Your sheep.

Wolves eat sheep.

So You tell me to be

shrewd as a snake
harmless as a dove.

I’ve got to understand how snakes think

so I can avoid their poisonous fangs.

But I’ve got to be sure I stay blameless in my

thoughts
words
actions

trusting with all my heart solely in You

to kill the snake.
