Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with unrestrained allegiance:

“The LORD has afflicted me…”
(Ruth 1:21)

Ruth wasn’t charging you with wrongdoing, Jesus.

She just knew You had the power
to keep her husband and two sons from dying

but chose not to.

A lot of people can’t bear to look at it that way.
They think it’s accusing You of being cruel, unloving, heartless.

But You’re not.

When someone I love dies, it’s because, in Your great wisdom

You know it’s the right time for them
for all their loved ones
for me.

Do I truly trust You in that?
Do I believe You know what You’re doing?

Yes.
I do.
