Lazaroo – Friday, August 2, 2013

No comments, Aug 02, 2013

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, from the depths of your soul:

“For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves…”
(Colossians 1:13)

You came to this earth humbly, Jesus…

a seemingly defenseless baby
laid in a feeding trough.

Everybody in town thought You were Joseph’s son
conceived out of wedlock

treated You accordingly.

As an adult, You were accused

of being a drunkard
demon-possessed
hanging out with the wrong crowd.

Finally, they executed you as a criminal
sealed You up in somebody else’s tomb.

At least, they thought it was “finally”…

but it wasn’t.

Because You Are King.

Not just a king

King of kings
LORD over all

Creator of all that is

who fills everything
in every way.

Sometimes people treat me like dirt, Jesus

just like they did You.

But You’ve brought me into Your kingdom
which means, like You

I’ll have the last laugh.
