Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with a propensity to act:

“I will remove the names of the Baals from her lips; no longer will their names be invoked.”
(Hosea 2:17)

Something tells me it will be better if I do it, Jesus.

If I persist in doing what I full well know to be wrong
if I refuse to stop doing it on my own

if I wait till You’re so fed up with my behavior
that You have no choice but to step in and do it Yourself

I’m really asking for it, aren’t I?

You are so gracious and loving and kind.
You have been unbelievably patient with me.

But recognizing this about You
might lead me to the wrong conclusion.

I might start to view You as a permissive parent who lets His children get away with murder.

Huge mistake.

The same God who fashions the delicate flower

is also the God of the F6 tornado.
