Not a happy thought, Jesus!

Well…not if it applies to me.

But if it applies to those who’ve hurt me…

no.

Not even then.

How dare I rejoice over another’s undoing?

They may fully deserve the punishment they’re receiving

but I deserve the punishment

I’m not receiving.

I confess that I have greatly and repeatedly sinned against You.

But for Your incomprehensible mercy
I would have brought swift destruction on myself.
