Lazaroo – Monday, July 20, 2009

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with boundless faith:

“After his suffering, he showed himself to these men and gave many convincing proofs that he was alive. He appeared to them over a period of forty days.”
(Acts 1:3)

You didn’t owe them that, Jesus.

You had already told them You were going to be killed, then raised back to life.

That should have been enough.

After all, that’s what faith is – believing without seeing.

Instead, after You rose from the dead, You repeatedly appeared to them for more than a month!

You ate with them, talked with them, invited them to touch You.

You showed Yourself to hundreds and hundreds of people – then rose straight up to heaven before their very eyes!

I’ve had none of those proofs, Jesus.

But You promised a special blessing for those who take You solely at Your Word.

Wow.

That means that blessing is mine, because –

I believe.
