You don’t have to say it to me more than once, Jesus

but You do!

You’re God.

You shouldn’t have to repeat Yourself to obtain my wholehearted obedience

but You do!

Over and over again

You proclaimed Your Word to me through Your prophets of old

then over and over again

You affirmed their words through Your apostles.

But it doesn’t stop there!

Over and over again in my daily life
You confirm the truths of the Bible

over and over again in my thought life, Holy Spirit
You supply me with inner promptings

subtle nudges
repeated reminders

of the righteous course You’ve called me to take

leaving me…

without excuse.
