Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in stunned gratitude:

“‘I am with you,’ declares the LORD Almighty…my Spirit remains among you.’”

That’s mind-boggling, Jesus.

Your Spirit “remains” among us!

I can understand why You might be willing to spend a little time with me on my “good” days.

But the fact that You stick it out with me

even when I’m disgusting?

Wow.

Why do You do that?

Why don’t You just give up on me
cut Your losses?

Your love is incredibly stubborn, isn’t it?

You invented me
brought me into this world

made sure I heard the good news of Your salvation
granted me the ability to take this leap of faith

to give You my life
in exchange for Yours.

You’ve invested Your very Self in me!

In spite of my long list of mess-ups
You’re not about to drop me

because I’m sure not about to drop You.
