Softly pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, as you tune in to the whispers of the Spirit:

“…your love in the Spirit.”
(Colossians 1:8)

This is the only time You’ve used this phrase in the entire Bible, Jesus –

but I’m confident You’ve brought it to life
among countless numbers of Your followers
countless times.

Do it in me, Holy Spirit!

Teach me to love

Your way.

Instead of loving others my way
show me how they need to be loved.

It’s not like I can ask them and find out –
anymore than I can tell somebody how I need to be loved.

Oh, I can tell somebody how I want to be loved
but only You know me well enough to discern

exactly what kind of love I need
exactly how much of it I need
exactly when I need it.

For somebody to love me that way
for me to love others that way

requires nothing less

than tuned-in
moment-by-moment

“love in the Spirit.”
