Lazaroo – Thursday, October 15, 2009
1 comment, Oct 15, 2009
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with undiluted sincerity:
“The king said to me, ‘What is it you want?’ Then I prayed to the God of heaven.”
(Nehemiah 2:4)
Am I prepared for that question, Jesus?
Or have I let Your dreams in me die?
The thing is…
I’m not sure which of my “wants” are from You.
Some of the things on my list sound pretty selfish.
Other things I could mention might make me look downright holy –
until You took a glance at the motives of my heart.
If I knew the next three things I named would be mine for the asking
could I identify them immediately?
would I choose wisely?
or would I be speechless?
But why bother with such questions? I’ve never had a king ask me, “What is it you want?”
Or have I?
Jesus, You…are King of kings.
Are You asking me that question
right now?

cool question. If it were Jesus asking i’d ask to follow His foot steps.I get out of step now & then. I need His Forgiveness then, and get back in step.
