Lazaroo – Wednesday, August 17, 2011

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, filled with miraculous wonder:

“Though you have not seen him, you love him…”
(1 Peter 1:8)

It’s true, Jesus.

Though I’ve never seen You –

I really do love You.

But no wonder!

You thought me up
created my one-of-a-kind personality

loved me so much that You gave Your life for me
before I ever knew You.

Still, I’m amazed.

How can I feel such strong emotion
for someone I’ve never laid eyes on?

I don’t even have a (real) picture of You –

the paintings and statues created by most modern artists
are a far cry from the way Scripture describes You.

Though You speak to me over and over through Your Word –
and in the intimacy of Spirit-to-spirit communication –

I’ve never heard Your actual voice.

But one day in heaven my faith will become

hearing
tasting
smelling
touching
sight…

and then I will see the one I have loved so long

face to face.

  1. RM Says:

The day I come into His presence and see Jesus face to face it will be truly truly truly awesome. And as in the words of a song … will I dance joyously before Him like David .. or silently kneel down before Him in silent adoration. I am sure it will be silent rapturous adoration. He is so far above anything we have ever experinced – and any unbelievable joyous moment in our lives will be darkly eclipsed by just being and “feeling” His Holy presence.
