Lazaroo – Saturday, May 22, 2010

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with unrestrained allegiance:

“For certain men whose condemnation was written about long ago have secretly slipped in among you.”
(Jude 1:4)

I don’t want to think about situations like this, Jesus.

I’d much rather my opponents come from the outside

wearing the different colors of the other team
blatantly displaying their anti-Christian hatred for all to see.

It’s devastating for me to have to face the fact that some of my most dangerous enemies

are on the inside
wearing smiles on their faces
concealing knives behind their backs.

Open my eyes!
Protect me!
Alert me!

But please help me not mistake as my enemies those who love You as much as I do

who are simply different from me
who have a different vision

different perspective
different methods
different calling.

Teach me to love them

affectionately
determinedly
outrageously
passionately
consistently

eternally

as the blood-bought brothers and sisters they are.

  1. Ken Ferry Says:

My experience has been that, because of the fallen nature of every human and the deceitfulness of our Enemy, it is impossible for me to always be able to tell the difference. The only surefire solution I have found is to love every human as God loves me. The one approaching God’s Truth from a slightly different vantage point will always respond favorably, and the one operating by the Enemy’s deceit will recoil in furious anger. If I ever write a book, this will be its central thesis.
