Lazaroo – Thursday, October 8, 2009

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in humble honesty:

“…we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love you have for all the saints – “
(Colossians 1:4)

I do love the saints, Jesus!

Some of them more than others.

Well…okay. You know the truth.

Some Christians I love a lot.
Some I love a little.
And some of them I love…

officially.

Which is to say…

not much at all.

But what can I do about that, Father?

You know some people are a whole lot easier to love than others!

Of course…

…the ones who are hardest to love

probably need it the most.

Wow.

I’m blowing it, aren’t I?

Especially since – for all I know –

I’m just a tad bit harder to love than I think I am.

Maybe I’d better start over

and let You choose who…and how much…

to love with Your amazing love

through me.

That’s good. We’re all somewhere between Adam and Jesus, but I like to just remember how much Jesus followed the Father’s will, and the Father loved us SO much that He allowed the only one who loved Him completely to suffer humiliation, pain and death – so we would KNOW what love really is. It is devoid of self and without conditions placed upon it.

    Thanks for the words.
