Lazaroo – Thursday, July 30, 2009

4 comments, Jul 30, 2009

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in over-the-top trust:

“In love he predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will—“
(Ephesians 1:4-5)

O Jesus.

Before You spoke the worlds into existence You looked down through the eons of time…

…and picked me!

in love.

Not because I would never sin.

I have.

Not because I was better than the rest.

I’m not.

Not because of anything I would do to deserve it.

I don’t.

But because You took one eternal look at me

and loved me.

I have given myself to You.

I am now Your child.

Adopted.

Because You love me.

Even now – through all my faults and failures

You take pleasure in me.

You actually enjoy me –

me!

Because long ago You exercised Your good, pleasing, perfect, irresistible will

and fell in love with me.
