Lazaroo – Tuesday, April 7, 2009

“The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word.”
(Hebrews 1:3)

I’m utterly intimidated by Your greatness, Jesus.

I cannot comprehend how You are able to monitor my every thought, care about my every emotion, orchestrate every aspect of my life in perfect harmony with the lives of the other 6,771,850,072 people currently living on this planet – and simultaneously listen with rapt, loving attention as I utter the halting words of this prayer.

Even that pales in the face of this question:

WHY do You care so much about me?

There is nothing about me that remotely deserves such devoted attention from one such as You.

But You don’t just care about me.

You love me with all the power, tenderness and majesty that You are.

What a great insight, Ken – straight out of Psalms 139:14. Thank you for bumping our awe up another notch!
