You want me to be mature, adult, complete, Father…

but I will always be Your child.

You tell adults who marry to leave the authority of their parents

become one
create a new household.

But I will never get so big, so powerful, so independent

that I can ever ignore You
ever disobey You.

You will always be mine.
I will always be Yours.

This I declare to the world!
