Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in humbled awareness:

“He will oppose and exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped…”
(2 Thessalonians 2:4)

There’s a difference between the two, isn’t there, Jesus?

It’s one thing for me to call You “God”…
quite another for me to actually worship You.

Just because I go to a church’s worship service

doesn’t mean there’s any real worship happening there.

Just because I sing a so-called worship song

doesn’t guarantee that I’m actually bringing You worship.

I wonder…

was the last time I overruled my instincts to obey You
the last time I truly worshiped?
