Get ready, as you pray aloud the words of this Lazaroo:

“…prepare your minds for action…”
(1 Peter 1:13)

That’s good advice, Jesus.

Am I taking it?

Or am I behaving as though everything will keep running along about the way it has?

That would be like falling asleep at the wheel
and be just as dangerous.

You’re always up to something new.
You’ve always got something cooking.

Of course, so does Satan.
I don’t think I want to sample any of his dishes.

So please: Help me prepare my mind for action:

to be ready to move with You at a moment’s notice

but when Satan shows up

to have, “No way!”
ready on my lips.
