Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with a heart and mind full of God’s Word:

“John replied in the words of Isaiah the prophet…”
(John 1:23)

What a great way to reply, Jesus!

With Your Word –

spoken through Your apostles and prophets.

So long as I apply it as You intend it

there’s no better way to

give advice
answer a question
explain a principle
announce a decision

than to quote Your Word.

When I do that, I can be certain that what I say

has weight
sheds light
will never lead anyone astray.

Your apostle Paul took captive every thought that entered his mind

lined it up against the straight edge of Your Word

made sure what he was thinking
was in total harmony with what You are saying.

You quoted Scripture right and left when Satan tempted You.

He became sick and tired of it
finally slunk away.

Maybe that’s what I’d better do

next time Satan comes after me.
