Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with sharpened awareness:

“The LORD said to Satan, ‘Where have you come from?’ Satan answered the LORD, ‘From roaming through the earth and going back and forth in it.’”
(Job 1:7)

First all, LORD, You didn’t have to ask Satan where he had been.

You knew.

So why did You ask him?

You did it for me, didn’t You?

You wanted me to know that’s what Satan does –

to open my eyes
to expose Satan’s methods
to correct my false assumptions
to prepare me for what I’m up against
to help me stay vigilant, focused, constantly on guard.

Since Satan moves about invisibly, it’s easy to forget how real he is and how much harm he can cause

especially when I’m unprepared.

With the amount of ground Satan covers, he’s probably had a hand in more of this world’s trouble than I’ve been willing to concede.

Wow, Jesus.
