Lazaroo – Tuesday, April 13, 2010

1 comment, Apr 13, 2010

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with Holy Spirit-empowered purpose:

“The Benjamites, however, failed to dislodge the Jebusites, who were living in Jerusalem; to this day the Jebusites live there with the Benjamites.”
(Judges 1:21)

I’ve got a few “Jebusites” in my life, don’t I, Jesus?

Sins, habits, behaviors I should have driven out long ago
that I’ve allowed to stick around.

But why?

Is it because they don’t seem as big as some of the sins You’ve enabled me to conquer?

After all, I don’t commit the “felony sins” like rape, grand theft or murder…

are these piddling “misdemeanor sins” all that big a deal?

Help me see them through Your eyes:

How often have these minor hiccups garbled my speech as I’ve attempted to share Your truth?

How many miles of spiritual progress am I now behind because of this nagging limp?

Wow.

This “little stuff” in my life

isn’t little at all.
