Lazaroo – Tuesday, August 16, 2011

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, from a heart full of gratitude:

“‘Laughter,’ I said, ‘is foolish. And what does pleasure accomplish?’”
(Ecclesiastes 2:2)

I know Solomon was in his blue snit when he said this, Jesus.

He had limited himself to examining everything under the sun…
and this is where it led him.

But thanks to You, I have no such limitations, LORD!

I’m grateful that You’ve shown me where such thinking leads…

but I sure don’t want to go down the road Solomon ended up on.

What a downer!
How blind can a “wise” man be?

Laughter is a gift straight from heaven.

It relieves my tension
strengthens my immune system
boosts my energy levels
reduces pain in my body
helps protect me from the damaging effects of stress.

But best of all, it’s a gift that reminds me:

No matter what I have to endure here on earth
Heaven is my future!

where he who laughs last…

laughs best.
