Lazaroo – Saturday, May 28, 2011

1 comment, May 28, 2011

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in utter dependence on your God:

“He conscripted seventy thousand men as carriers and eighty thousand as stonecutters in the hills and thirty-six hundred as foremen over them.”
(2 Chronicles 2:2)

Wow.

When Solomon wanted to build a temple for You
a royal palace for himself

all he had to do was conscript 186,000 people to carry out his wishes

a little thing like that.

I, on the other hand, can’t conscript anybody.

If I want to get something important done –

something I can’t do alone
something that requires others to help

all I can do is ask –

knowing, in reality
that everyone I ask
can tell me to take a hike.

So what am I going to do about the assignment You’ve given me, Father?!!

It’s way bigger than I am.

O God!

Please move on the hearts of those You have called to join me.

In Jesus’ Name!
