Lazaroo – Saturday, July 5, 2014
Jul 05, 2014 I Lazaroo.
Set your jaw, as you pray aloud the words of this Lazaroo:
“Eliashib the high priest and his fellow priests went to work and rebuilt the Sheep Gate.”
(Nehemiah 3:1)
That’s how something gets built, isn’t it, Jesus?
Somebody has to go to work.
Usually, a lot of somebodies.
The bigger the project
the more somebodies it takes
who are willing to work.
Work is often hard. Sometimes it’s
exhausting
mind-numbing
daunting.
But when the thing I’m building is for You, its higher purpose
renews me
energizes me
lifts me out of myself
refocuses me on what truly matters
so that no matter the brutality of yesterday
I’m back at it again today
for You.
